Terms of Service

1. Acceptance and user eligibility

Using Baoshiji means that you have read and agree to these terms, the Privacy Policy and rules that apply to particular features. If you do not agree, do not use the relevant services.

Baoshiji is intended for adults or caregivers with the relevant legal capacity. When creating a profile or providing information for a child under 14, you must be the child’s parent, another legal guardian or someone with the guardian’s lawful authorization, and you must read and agree to the Children’s Personal Information Protection Rules.

Baoshiji currently does not provide independent registered accounts. Some sync, family collaboration and purchase features depend on your Apple ID, iCloud and App Store status.

2. Services

Baoshiji may provide the following features, subject to what is actually available in your installed version:

• Caregiver and baby profile management;
• Feeding, sleep, diaper, temperature, growth, activity, medication, nutrient and vaccine records;
• Timelines, statistical summaries, routines, local notifications and system alarms on iOS 26+;
• Data export and Excel recovery-package import, iCloud sync and CloudKit family collaboration;
• Cross-device summaries or quick actions through Widgets, Live Activities and the Watch app;
• Basic records, timers and status queries through Siri and Shortcuts on iOS 16+;
• Baoshiji VIP benefits offered through the App Store.

We may adjust features for security, compatibility, compliance or product planning, but will not arbitrarily take away rights you have legally acquired. Some features may be limited by device model, operating system, network, Apple services, region or subscription status.

3. No medical services and emergencies

You should check entered content and units yourself and consult a qualified medical professional based on your baby’s actual situation. For fever, breathing difficulty, severe allergic reaction, accidental medication ingestion, persistent vomiting, altered consciousness or other emergency or suspected emergency situations, contact local emergency services or a nearby medical institution immediately. Do not wait for an app notice.

Medication names, doses, frequencies and vaccine information should follow a doctor, pharmacist, vaccination provider or product instructions. Risks caused by input errors, an incorrect device clock, undelivered notifications or treating general information as medical advice should be carefully borne by the person making the care decision, except for liability that cannot be excluded by law.

4. User rules

You are responsible for actions taken through your device, Apple ID and sharing permissions, and agree that you will:

• Record information about babies or other caregivers only with a lawful basis, not impersonate others and not collect information beyond what is necessary;
• Protect your device, Apple ID, iCloud and exported files, and choose family sharing members and permissions carefully;
• Not use Baoshiji for unlawful infringement, harassment or fraud, or upload malicious code, unlawful content or content that infringes another person’s rights;
• Not reverse engineer destructively, bypass security or entitlement checks, or interfere with the service, except where the law expressly allows it;
• Not use Baoshiji for official medical records, clinical decisions, life support or other high-risk scenarios requiring professional certification and continuous availability.

You are responsible for content that you enter, export or actively share. If a device is lost, a sharing recipient is wrong or data may have been exposed, promptly change Apple account security settings, stop sharing and contact us.

5. User content, data management and privacy

You retain the rights you lawfully hold in profiles, records, notes and photos. You grant us limited permission to process this content only as needed to provide Baoshiji features, such as storing it on the device, syncing supported data through CloudKit that you enable, generating statistics or exporting and sharing it at your direction. Caregiver profiles, temperature, growth, medication, nutrients, vaccines, custom units and routines are local data and are not currently synced through CloudKit. This permission does not transfer ownership of your content to us.

You should check your data regularly and use export to create backups as needed. You can also select a local Excel recovery package for preview, validation and merge import; existing local data is not deleted by default. Deleting the app, local failures, turning off iCloud, insufficient storage, Apple account changes or sync conflicts may affect data availability. Uninstalling the app does not automatically delete iCloud data, system backups, exported files or shared copies held by other participants.

How we handle personal information and how you can exercise your rights are described in the Privacy Policy. Baby information is also protected by the Children’s Personal Information Protection Rules.

6. Baoshiji VIP subscriptions and purchases

1. Products and prices: The plans currently available for purchase are shown in the in-app StoreKit page and App Store. Apple displays prices, currency, trials and taxes based on region; confirm them before placing an order.
2. Auto-renewal: Monthly or annual subscriptions renew automatically through your Apple ID unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current subscription period ends. Apple usually charges your account within 24 hours before expiration.
3. Cancellation: You can cancel in Apple ID subscription management in iOS Settings or on the App Store subscription page. Deleting Baoshiji does not automatically cancel a subscription.
4. Restore purchases: You can use “Restore Purchases” in the app to sync eligible active benefits for the current Apple ID.
5. Refunds: Apple processes transactions. Refund eligibility and procedures are governed by Apple media services terms and mandatory local law. You can apply through Apple’s refund channel.
6. Benefit changes: VIP benefits may end when a subscription expires, is refunded, revoked or cannot be verified by Apple. Personal records already stored on the device will not be actively deleted by us only because VIP expires, but some VIP features may no longer be available.

If an in-app product description differs from these terms on price or billing period, the information Apple shows when you confirm the purchase controls. Where the law requires a rule more favorable to consumers, that rule applies.

7. Apple and other third-party services

Baoshiji uses Apple system capabilities including Core Data/CloudKit, StoreKit, UserNotifications, WidgetKit, ActivityKit, WatchConnectivity, AlarmKit (iOS 26+) and App Intents (iOS 16+), and Alibaba Cloud website infrastructure for the website, compliance and support pages. Product Analytics uses PostHog to send explicitly allowed low-sensitivity product events only after you enable it; it is off by default and does not upload baby record content. The app also integrates the open-source SSZipArchive dependency only to parse Excel recovery packages on the device. Use of these capabilities is also subject to the applicable terms of Apple, Alibaba Cloud, PostHog and your region. See the Third-Party Information Sharing and SDK List.

Interruptions, account restrictions, regional policies or interface changes in third-party services may affect sync, sharing, purchases, notifications and page access. We will adapt and fix issues within a reasonable scope, but cannot control third-party infrastructure or provide guarantees about its independent actions beyond what the law requires.

8. Intellectual property

Intellectual property in Baoshiji’s software code, interface design, icons, text layout, trademarks and related content belongs to us or lawful rights holders. Except as permitted by law or authorized by us in writing, you may not copy, rent, sell, distribute, provide mirrors or use it to develop a competing product.

As long as you comply with these terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to install and use Baoshiji on devices permitted by Apple. When you obtain the app through the App Store, Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce license terms related to its platform.

9. Changes, suspension and termination

We may suspend part of the service for maintenance, security incidents, legal requirements, Apple platform changes or force majeure. For long-term changes that materially affect your rights, we will try to explain them in advance through an in-app notice or website announcement and provide reasonable arrangements to view, export or migrate local data.

If you materially violate these terms, infringe others’ rights or threaten service security, we may limit relevant features to the extent reasonably necessary. If Baoshiji stops operating, we will notify you as required by law and handle data under our control under the privacy rules.

These terms may be updated because of feature or legal changes. Significant changes will be presented prominently; where renewed consent is legally required, we will complete the relevant process before the new terms apply.

10. Responsibility boundaries

We provide the service with reasonable care, but due to technical limitations do not guarantee uninterrupted service, complete compatibility with every device, delivery of every notification, conflict-free sync or permanent data retention. You should maintain the security of your device and Apple account and back up important materials appropriately.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect losses caused by third-party service interruptions, user input errors, active user sharing, failure to follow professional medical advice, device or network failures or events beyond reasonable control. Disclaimers, liability limits or exclusions do not apply to consumer rights, personal injury liability or liability caused by willful misconduct or gross negligence where the law prohibits limiting them.

11. Governing law and disputes

The formation, validity, performance and interpretation of these terms are governed by the laws of mainland China, without affecting mandatory consumer protection rights you may have in your region.

For a dispute, the parties should first seek friendly consultation. If consultation fails, either party may bring a claim before a competent people’s court under law. You may also complain to a consumer protection or personal information protection authority. If part of these terms is held invalid, the remaining terms remain effective.
